Personality: Unpredicable, egotistical, brash, quick-witted, impatiant and carefree are a few of the words to describe the blue blur. One can never really tell what he might do, or where he might be next. He is the type who sets by his own rules, following through with what he believes is right and persuing his own sense of justice. He isn't the type to sit and watch people do things that he feels isn't right, and when provoked, he can be found to have a rather short fuse. Sonic doesn't like to stay still for too long, feeling like he needs to constantly be on the move, otherwise the time is simply wasted.

History: Sonic Maurice Hedgehog was born in the city of Mobotropolis to Bernadette and Jules Hedgehog. His father had been fatally injured in war and in an attempt to save his life Sir Charles created the 'Roboticizer'. The machine was meant to simply replace irreparable wounds with robotic parts, therefore saving the life of the injured being. However, it didn't work out so well. Jules' life was saved, but in return he became a robot without his own personality or free-will. Eventually Julian Ivo Robotnik tricked Bernadette into going to the room where Jules was kept and she was forced into the roboticizer and roboticized by her own former husband. Sir Charles, feeling responsible for what happened to his brother and sister-in-law, took in Sonic and raising him in their stead.

Eventually when Robotnik sucessfully pulled off his coup, trapping King Acorn into the Void, Sonic ( 5 at the time ) was sent to Knothole with several other children, including those who eventually (or already were) his best friends. While they were in the hidden village of Knothole, they were attended to by Rosie, a nanny of Princess Sally's. She eventually disappeared at some point. . (I'm not sure quite when, or how/when she came back) The children were, by then, old enough to take care of themselves. They eventually became Freedom Fighters, fighting to regain Mobotropolis (now called 'Robotropolis') from Robotnik.

Sonic eventually left Knothole. Not that he was done fighting his fight for freedom. That was far from the case. He would still fight for that whole heartedly, for his sense of justice would not allow otherwise. For a while, he simply travelled all of Mobius, running from one place to the other and never staying still for long. But in the end, he returned to where his friends waited.

Sonic quickly became well-known for his speed, and his prowess at sabotoging the factories and mechanical monsters that Robotnik threw their way. He became further known after he saved teh city of Station Square from a large ancient aquatic beast known as 'Chaos' and surprisingly more so when he, along with the help of Shadow, defeated the Biolizard, this time saving the world.
